Meet Amie Kah, a recent graduate of ECPI University's Moorefield campus, where she completed her bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity.
Amie's motivation for pursuing her degree was a desire for personal growth, career advancement, and knowledge acquisition. She believed that a university education could be transformative, opening doors to new opportunities and shaping her future. As she puts it, "I wanted to fulfill my goals and dreams."
During her time at ECPI, Amie found unwavering support from her classmates, teachers, and campus administrators.
"The encouragement and assistance I received were invaluable. It kept me going during challenging times," said Amie.
She appreciated the accelerated courses and the flexibility ECPI provides. "I enjoyed the exposure to cutting-edge technology and hands-on learning," said Amie.
Today, Amie serves as a Help Desk Analyst on a Navy Base in Norfolk. Her role involves virtual troubleshooting, taking calls, and remotely resolving computer issues for users. Holding a Government Secret Clearance, she finds joy in helping her clients resolve their technology issues so they may return to work.
"Hearing their relief over the phone is the best part of my job," she said.
Amie's advice for current students? "Do not compare yourself to others," she said. "Embrace your unique talents, set goals and expectations, and achieve them.”
Looks like Amie did just that.
