Ying Wang is the lead 5G engineer for the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative. Her areas of expertise include data analysis and data mining; robotic systems for wireless design; cognitive radio systems; and signal detection, classification, synchronization, and demodulation.
Prior to coming to CCI, Wang worked for Verizon as a member of the technical staff and for Apple as a wireless design engineer and software engineer. When she was a student she interned with AT&T Research Lab, Sprint, and Siemens.
Wang earned her M.S. in health informatics from George Mason University, her M.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and her Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech. She is also a graduate of the Ignite program for innovation and entrepreneurship at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
