About
With its combination of government, industry, and colleges and universities, Northern Virginia provides an environment uniquely positioned to facilitate opportunities in cybersecurity.
We seek to strategically coordinate strengths, as well as leverage and create opportunities, across sectors to amplify the commonwealth's presence and impact in the field.
NoVa Node is led by Liza Wilson Durant, a professor of engineering and the associate dean for strategic initiatives and community engagement in George Mason’s College of Engineering and Computing, as well as associate provost for strategic initiatives and community engagement for Mason.
Vision
CCI works to position Northern Virginia as a primary agent in establishing the commonwealth as a global center of excellence in cybersecurity research and serve as a catalyst for the commonwealth's economic diversification and long-term leadership in this sector.
Mission
We will serve as an engine for research, workforce development, and innovation at the intersection of cybersecurity, autonomous systems, and intelligence.
Outreach
NoVa Node is a robust network of industry, higher education, and economic development partners across Northern Virginia. By enhancing collaboration, CCI is building an ecosystem greater than the sum of its parts.
