Rebecca Haydock

Rebecca Haydock  is currently Managing Director of Venture Central, an active angel investor, screening committee member and deal lead with Charlottesville Angel Network.

She is an owner of a nationally expanding environmental impact company, and is Director of Central Virginia Small Business Development Center. 

Her personal objective beyond adventures with her family, is to build strong communities through small business success, while considering social and environmental impact.specializes in business growth strategy and infrastructure, contract preparedness, strategic alliances and equity capital. 

She started a multi-location plant services business at the age of 16, and helped breed cows on the family farm, which helped fund her business degree from Cornell University. 

During her senior college years, she secured a loan to create an old- fashioned ice cream parlor and bagel shop. She sold the business two years later and was asked to join the local economic development office to assist with business turn-arounds- helping to stave off large scale business loss in the region.

Haydock has assisted hundreds of entrepreneurs through business plans and financings, government contracting and contract negotiation work and technology portfolio management. Additional positions included North Carolina SBTDC, Director at Technology Management & Funding in Princeton, N.Y., and COO of Envirion, and Select Release in Midlothian, VA. 

She is an active participant in building support and resources for Central Virginia's entrepreneurs.
