CCI’s Eric Burger to Open MIT Washington Seminar Series

Commonwealth Cyber Initiative Research Director Eric Burger will speak at the MIT Club of Washington’s Artificial Intelligence Seminar Series on Nov. 14.

Burger’s presentation, Introduction to Contemporary AI, will open the 41st annual series, which offers engineers, scientists, industry leaders, policymakers and educators an opportunity to explore a major issue in depth.

The AI world is advancing quickly, in such areas as machine learning, deep learning, neural networks, natural language models, and commercial generative AI models.  

Companies such as Google and Microsoft are adding generative AI capabilities to their search and related products. 

But this speedy technological development comes with risks.  

Burger’s overview session will describe this AI evolution, identify the capabilities of current AI tools, and look at how AI components relate to each other.
