CCI Symposium 2027

Members of the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative and invited guests will gather at the sixth annual CCI Symposium on April 5-6, 2027, in Charlottesville, Virginia at the Virginia Guesthouse Hotel and Conference Center on the campus of the University of Virginia.  

CCI members will share news, celebrate achievements, and discuss research with colleagues. We’ll present the sixth annual CCI Impact Award and Student Poster Presentation Award.

Registration for those invited to the Symposium opens on Feb. 1, 2027. The last day to register is March 19, 2027. 

The cost of the symposium is a non-refundable $100 charge. $65 if an attendee elects not to eat lunch or dinner. You must provide a credit card number during registration. If you register, but do not attend, you will not get a refund.

While at the Symposium, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Meet colleagues and find new collaborators from across Virginia.
• Hear research presentations and network with colleagues from across Virginia.

  • The State of CCI update
  • Student-led debate on AI and Cyber in the Workplace
  • Innovation Spin Out Process Panel
  • Discussion about Research Return on Investment (Faculty only)
  • Discussion on Academic and Industry Career Paths (Students only)
  • Poster session
  • Cybersecurity demonstrations
  • Dinner and award ceremony for the sixth annual CCI Impact Award
  • Research program workshop

Events include a CCI update, a student AI/Cybersecurity debate, an innovation panel, faculty research discussions, student career discussions, paper presentations, poster presentations, research demonstrations, an awards ceremony, a reception, and three meals.

Lodging and Travel

A block of rooms has been set aside for the event at the Virginia Guesthouse Hotel and Conference Center, 2017 Ivy Road, Charlottesville, Virginia, the site of the Symposium. 

Attendees are responsible for booking and paying for their rooms. If you drive, the Virginia Guesthouse Hotel and Conference Center provides hotel parking for $15 per vehicle, per day for overnight and day guests.
