Symposium 2027 Travel and Lodging

The Commonwealth Cyber Initiative is hosting its sixth annual CCI Symposium April 5-6, 2027, in Charlottesville, Virginia, at the Virginia Guesthouse Hotel and Conference Center.


Lodging & Reservations

CCI has reserved a block of 120 rooms for those attending the invitation-only event at the hotel for the evening of April 5, 2027. The price will be $136 for single and double rooms.  

You’ll need to contact the Virginia Guesthouse Hotel and Conference Center to book your hotel room, and you’ll be asked to put a credit card on file with the hotel. To make a reservation, go online or call, (434) 400-2100. Each guest must contact the hotel no later than March 4, 2027 and identify themselves to the hotel as part of the CCI Symposium room block.

The deadline to reserve a room within the CCI block is March 4, 2027, by 5:00 ET.

Rooms and suites in the CCI block that are not reserved by the deadline will be released for general sale. Reservation requests received afterward will be accepted based on guest room availability at prevailing rates, as the group rate might no longer be available.


Arriving and Departing

The hotel address is 2017 Ivy Road, Charlottesville, Virginia. Check-in time is 3 p.m. and check-out is 11 a.m. 

Guests arriving before 3 p.m. will be accommodated as rooms become available.

Virginia Guesthouse Hotel and Conference Center guest services staff can arrange to check baggage for those arriving early when rooms are unavailable and for guests attending functions on departure day.


Parking

Self-parking in the adjacent Emmett/Ivy Parking Deck is available at $15 per car per day for both overnight and day guests.

All guests parking in the Emmett/Ivy Parking Deck facility are required to register their vehicle using the designated mobile app or electronic system. Instructions for registration will be provided by the Hotel.


Payment

Because this is a research-focused event, PIs and Co-PIs are encouraged to use travel funds within their grants for themselves and their students.


Hotel Policies

While many rates have flexible cancellation policies, there are some that are non-refundable.

CCI will not reimburse any travel or lodging fees.
