Symposium 2025 Travel and Lodging

The Commonwealth Cyber Initiative is hosting its third annual CCI Symposium April 14 to 15, 2025, in Richmond, Virginia, at the Omni Richmond Hotel.

CCI has reserved a block of rooms for those attending the invitation-only event at the hotel for the evening of April 14. The price will be $149 for single rooms, $159 for doubles.

You’ll need to contact the Omni to book your room, and you’ll be asked to put a credit card on file with the hotel.

The deadline to reserve a room within the CCI block is March 21, 2025, by 5 p.m. ET.

Rooms and suites in the CCI block that are not reserved by the deadline will be released for general sale. Reservation requests received afterward will be accepted based on guest room availability at prevailing rates, as the group rate might no longer be available.

Arriving and Departing

The hotel address is 100 South 12th St., Richmond, Va. 23219. Check-in time is 3 p.m.; check-out is noon.

Guests arriving before 3 p.m. will be accommodated as rooms become available.

Omni guest service staff can arrange to check baggage for those arriving early when rooms are unavailable and for guests attending functions on departure day.

Payment Resource Suggestions

Because this is a research-focused event, PIs and Co-PIs might pull from travel funds within their grants for themselves and their students.

Omni Policies

For details on policies, terms and/or exclusions, check the policies page or the Cancellation Policy section on your Reservation Confirmation email.

While many rates have flexible cancellation policies, there are some that are non-refundable.

Omni requires a penalty fee if someone is a no-show for a reservation, which must be canceled at least 72 hours before check-in time (this may change; please check with the Omni when you make your reservation). The hotel will charge one night’s room, including tax, to the credit card on file.

CCI will not reimburse any travel or lodging fees.

For payment questions, contact John Delaney at jpdelaney@vt.edu.

Transportation

If you drive, the Omni provides hotel parking for a fee. There is also a paid parking lot across the street from the hotel. Other transportation options include:
