Symposium 2025 Paper Submissions

Researchers and students from Virginia institutions of higher education will discuss their research at the 2025 CCI Symposium April 14 to 15, 2025, in Richmond, Va. They'll present their papers at the Symposium at the Omni Richmond Hotel.
Presentation Guidelines
Have your paper title, abstract, and research category ready when you submit. If there are multiple authors or team members for your paper, please have only one author/team member make the submission.
If you've been selected to present, you'll be assigned to one of these categories:
- Autonomous Smart Systems
- Secure IoT
- Cyber-Physical Systems Security
- Network and Infrastructure Security
- Hardware Security
- Critical Infrastructure and Emerging Technologies
- Data Science, Information Theory, and Quantum
- Open Data and Crowdsourcing
Each presenter will get 3 minutes to present their work.
Presentations are limited to one slide for content. Any additional slides will be deleted out of respect for the time of all presenters.
If your paper has been accepted and you would like to show a slide at your presentation, we have a PowerPoint template for you to use.
To use a slide in your presentation, you must submit your PowerPoint presentation by April 4, 2025, to Kendall Beebe at kwbeebe@vt.edu.

The sessions’ purpose is to give researchers the opportunity to share their work, receive feedback from peers, and improve their papers. Research should be current or ongoing. The presentation won’t count as being the paper’s publication, and CCI won’t hold a copyright.
Researchers and faculty at public institutions in CCI deemed eligible by their home institutions to serve as a Principal Investigator (PI) on an external grant could apply.
Students must have been enrolled at a Virginia institution of higher education at the time of the Symposium (April 14-15, 2025).
