Symposium Speaker: Rachel Wang
Rachel Wang is a fourth-year student at George Mason University majoring in Cyber Security Engineering.
She has interned with the University of Maryland's Applied Research Laboratory for Intelligence and Security (UMD ARLIS) through their Research for Intelligence and Security Challenges (RISC) program for the past two summers.
While there, she had the opportunity to engage in research projects encompassing topics such as human-system integration, human-machine interaction, testing and evaluation, AI/ML, and intrusion detection systems.
She has also interned with the CCI Project-Based Learning Program with CACI in the fall semester where she worked with her peers to develop a repository of CTF challenges and is interning with the CCI Project-Based Learning Program with GuidePoint Security in the spring to develop an SOC-in-a-Box lab environment.
Upon completing her undergraduate studies in the spring, Wang plans to continue her studies and obtain her accelerated master’s degree in Cyber Security Engineering at Mason.
She hopes to pursue a career in cybersecurity where she can apply her interests in threat and vulnerability analysis and support the defense and intelligence space and national security efforts.
