Background
Nirup Menon, a professor of Information Systems and Operations Management in Mason's School of Business, previously taught at the University of Texas at Dallas and Texas Tech University. He currently holds a visiting professorship at Instituto de Empresa Business School in Madrid, Spain.
Menon has published a book on the impact of information technology on hospitals, and has coauthored articles in several peer-reviewed academic journals such as Management Science, Information Systems Research, Journal of Management Information Systems, and Journal of Association of Information Systems, among others. He held an associate editor position at Information Systems Research from 2003-2006.
Menon has consulted for several companies including SAP America, and he has taught courses at the undergraduate, masters and PhD levels. His teaching interests are enterprise resource planning systems, database systems, data warehouses, data mining, economics of information systems, and research methods in information systems.
