Computer security and applied cryptography, focusing on analyzing and designing efficient encrypted systems using techniques from cryptography and algorithms.

Background

Kornaropoulos is an assistant professor in Mason’s Computer Science Department. He is head of Mason’s Encrypted Systems Group.

Previously, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the EECS Department at UC Berkeley. 

He holds a Ph.D. in computer science. His doctoral dissertation received the Joukowsky Outstanding Dissertation Award.
