Background
Yao is a professor of communication and coordinator of Radford’s Strategic Communication graduate program.
She holds a bachelor’s and a master’s in international relations, and a Ph.D. in intercultural communication.
She has presented her work at various national and international communication conferences and published in China Media Research, Journal of Health Communication, Corporate Communications: An International Journal, Journal of International Communication, and Argumentation & Advocacy.
