Background
Viswanath is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science. His ongoing work investigates machine learning systems through the lens of security.
He uses data-driven methods to understand new threats raised by advances in machine learning, and also investigates how machine learning can improve the security of online services.
He obtained his PhD from the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems, and MS from IIT Madras.
He also worked as a Researcher at Nokia Bell Labs before starting an academic position.
