Murat Kuzlu

Murat Kuzlu is an assistant professor of electrical engineering technology at Old Dominion University. His research interests include smart grids, demand responses, smart metering systems, home and building energy management systems, co-simulation, wireless communication, and embedded systems.

Prior to joining Old Dominion University, he worked as a research assistant professor at Virginia Tech’s Advanced Research Institute. He has also worked as a global network product support engineer at Nortel Networks in Turkey, and as a senior researcher for the Energy Institute of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey.

He is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Kuzlu received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in electronics and telecommunications engineering from Kocaeli University, Turkey, in 2001, 2004, and 2010, respectively.
