Background
Erpek is a research associate professor in the Intelligent Systems Division of Virginia Tech’s National Security Institute.
She has been developing deep learning algorithms to improve the performance, situational awareness, and security of next-generation communications systems.
Her R&D work covers wireless communications, 5G and beyond, mmWave communications, physical layer security, cognitive radio, dynamic spectrum sharing, machine learning, and network protocol design and implementation.
She holds a Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering.
